I got the rrod yesterday and im gonna take a chance an send my xbox in for repairs. It does not have the warranty sticker and i swaped the original samsung drive(has a bad flash) for a benq.
My question: Should I put back my Samsung drive w/ the bad flash or the benq that I have in it? Also are there any tips so I can maximize the chance of me getting a new xbox.
btw, i have a friend who sent in 2 xboxs w/out the warrenty stickers and he got replacements.

well you might as well send it in (the samsung) with it. I might buy a warranty sticker though. Granted I sent mine in with a cut warranty sticker, but it was cut with an xacto knife and looked pretty good.

dude, you can't say that. It's all relative. He might get caught. Your best chance would be to get a sticker. if you run the risk of sending it in without a new sticker, then that's what you do, run a risk. You might get it denied, and then can't send it in again.

Why would you chip your Xbox 360 when it's so easy to flash...

I don't know what a banana split chip is?
@db5304
I knew the guy for 15 years, he would keep a silly lie for so long.

I would slap a warranty sticker on the console if I were you. The way I see it, you can either spend a few bucks and ensure that you will get the console replaced/fixed, or you can "save" a few bucks by not buying a stupid sticker and risk having to buy a new console.
I've got one lying around, I'll mail/sell it to you for 20 bucks.
