Hello all,
I have been reading over the threads and stickies for a few days now. I am still unclear about a couple things.

First will a pandora battery revert a 1000 model no mater what firmware is on it? My concern being I am planning on getting a PSP for Release of Gran turismo but I would imagine they will put a new firmware on that disk. Rumors is a 6.X firmware is in the pipe. So If I ran that game it would want to update firmware. So that brings my question can the Pandora revert any firmware on a 1000 model

Next question should I look for an older psp or just buy a new one and wait a bit for firmware updates if GT will have a new firmware version anyway.

Also is there a list somewhere that shows what games need what firmware to run. I haven't been able to locate anything like that.

Thanks

With pandora u can go back to cfw from every official firmware(on 1004 and all 2004 up to ta-08b)

but i would not use the official wait until cfw 5.55 or 6.0 will come

out "matt&jack" work`s on it rumours @ qj

but first go to 5.50gen-b and try if test-drive will work

by the way u don`t need a list which games need wich FW @ moment

there are only a few games that don`t work cause they need 5.55 so

far i know not more then 5

Most new games now need 5.55, to repandora every time you want to play GT will soon be a real pain, if you have the pandora battery and a spare memory stick then yes it is possible.

Make sure the batteries are charged if you are going to change firmware regularly

5.55 Games
Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs
Dirt 2
Motorstorm Arctic Edge
Rugby League Challenge
AFL Challenge
Disgaea 2 Dark Heroe Days
IL2 Sturmovik Birds Of Prey
GI Joe The Rise Of The Cobra

These are just the US / EUR Releases, there are other Jap games

Thanks for all the info. I found a clean psp 1000 and have a pandora and extra memory stick on the way. I guess I will get familiar with the basics of this before worring about getting GT. From reading reviews latley I am guessing I won't be to thrilled anyway. Then hopefully with some time teh newer firmwares will be released and I can play it them without having to continually upgrade/downgrade of the firmware.

Send it to sony under warranty (battery failed during an upgrade) and hope they repair it free of charge
