Hello all.
I just purchased an xbox360 and was going through the forums trying to find what I needed to burn games. There is a ton of information to take in and most threads seem to be outdated.
I was hoping someone could tell me step-by-step what I need to do to in order to start copying games or at least point me in the right direction. I was currently looking at the website "everything4360.com" but not sure if it worth it.
Thank you and best regards.

This tutorial is ace. It helped me at first.
Edit: Just read that you bought the Xbox new, you'll need a flashed DVD drive too. Check here for a guide on how to flash your DVD drive.
Try searching, its fun.

most of the information is not outdated. Read the threads, and then ask if you have questions after reading them.

Thank you for your help. Sorry for not being more attentive to the forums, when doing a search the information can be over-whelming. Just one more question:
How do you flash your drive? When I click on the link above I receive a message stating that the link is broken. Thank you and best regards.

Another question: Where is the best place to get the game files from?
Thank you very much for all your help.

There's a tutorial in there.
Also we do not condone piracy but if you cannot backup your own discs then you can acquire the files in torrent sites and Newsgroups. I personally use Blackcats-Games but they are closed right now to new members.

I think newsgroups are the best. But best way to get backups, is use a kreon drive.

Once again I thank everyone for there help. I do have one more question (sorry for being such a newbie.) What is the best way to make backup copies of games? I have seen tutorials about using CopyCD from slysoft, will CopyDVD or AnyDVD work as well?

I first want to thank everyone for being helpful. I greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately I still have some questions (Sorry, my brain doesn't seem to be working at full speed as of late.)
1.) What happens if I just want to backup my games. I have looked into this in other tutorials and most say I need a Samsung disk drive (flashed) to accomplish this. Is there another way, I am currently have a multitude of drives (Sony, Mad Dog, and Lite-On) so I really don't want to get another one.
2.) When playing games do I need to Mod my x-box? I have tried to read the tutorials on Jungle Flasher, but everytime I click on the link it doesn't open properly. Is there another place (I can't seem to find one) that has a tutorial?
3.) When playing backups, either copied or downloaded, can I still use the xbox Live service or do I have to make sure to play offline?
Thank you guys once again. Hopefully as I learn more, I will be able to repay you for the time and knowledge given to me. :-)

The only other method i think involves stripping your xbox so the comp connects to the xbox dvd-rom or such like,do you really want to do that every time, bite the bullet & get the sammy
I can't help with anything else other than making sure you readthe tuts & inf first very carefully & also creating a backup of the 360 drive key, failure to do so will result in a non working box

if you swap ie: lite-on --> samsung etc... SPOOF the original drive onto new drive, check jungleflasher and tuts.
