Unfortunately, I think that you have a brick. Depending on when you got it, I would suggest calling Sony and letting them know what happened. You didn't try to hack it(it's not hackable at this point) so they should replace it for you.

I'm no expert on this but I'll see what I can figure out. It would be best if you described everything that happens if you try to turn the psp on now and if you can get to a recovery menu (hold R while turning on psp). If you can't get to a recovery menu, I THINK you can get a magic memory stick and load a recovery menu up through that, i'm not sure tho.

I'm sorta new to the hacking of PSP but, so far I've hacked 2 PSP's, one fat and one slim. I also used ChickHen R2 to run CFW on TA-008v3 slim. I have a friend that has a similar situation. He was upgrading to OFW and pulled out the USB so now he has a brick. I agree with kenio8185 and I'm doing alot of reading. If you upgrade to an OFW i believe you should be able to unbrick your PSP.

take battery out for at least an hour to clear flash memory, holding r tigger will not help you as this is for custom firmware only. and you did not upgrade i could not flash ta088-v3 it simply would not flash
