what i would like to know is.when they release a game does m$ put a redeemable code in the package or is it all on a disk

It depends on the game. Some will have a code inside while others will be in disc.

Yeah, like see Gears of War 2 GOTY has a code that comes with it. Where as Fable 2 GOTY comes on the disc.
