When Abgx360 starts up, it says something about achievements and gamerscore? What does that mean?

Well, although I appreciate the help, that didn't answer my question. I totally understand how to use the program. I just don't know what that message means.
The game I'm checking now says:
Achievements: 47 Achievements totaling 1000 gamerscore

That's exactly what it means.
The game has 47 Achievements.
And those 47 Achievements total 1000 gamerscore points.
Really, it's self-explanatory.

Oh, now I get it, it's an xbox live thing. Since I've never been on there, I didn't understand the lingo.

no special live lingo here, you actually earn achievements whether or not you are on xbox live. They are attached to your profile, its those green and gray boxes that pop up that with the achievement you have earned.

I dont think you're qualified to be handling xbox 360 games yet,
If you dont know what an achievement is how are you managing to even burn a game? Actually i dont want to know
