IMGBURN I/O Error burning backups

I was trying to burn a few backups for my 360 and I keep getting an error code with IMGBURN. I will get to different percentages done on my burn and this will popup. I am using memorex discs btw. I KNOW I KNOW VERBATIM but these work on my friends acer and not on my acer????? anyway this is ther error i get from the log on imgburn...PLEASE HELP

also i tried clonecd and it did the same except at 2% so i dont know what is going on but i need it fixed asap

buy verbs, that will fix your problem. memorex suck, they dont burn worth a crap and dont play worth a crap. also make sure your burners drive FW is up to date.

I am doing the same thing burning xbox 360 backups but im using verbatim dvd+r dl and getting this error from imgburn
i got this error yester day and changed the ide controllers all to dma and was able to burn a few more dvd and now getting the error again. I see to day that the primary channel is showing transfer mode of ultra dma mode 5 and the other primary channel is showing untra dma mode 4

Every time I have seen this error it has been due to a crappy DVD burner, not the media itself.

I understand but I have the same error and it worked fine before reinstalling Windows, and I was using the same drive, same burner, same backup and same media and same original DVDs as before.

It just happens sometimes. Especially with laptop burners, as yours seems to be.
I recommend getting a decent-quality 5.25" internal desktop burner and an external enclosure that has a USB port to plug it in to.
