it says 8x, its my very first time burning my OWN games, will these work if i set the speeds at 2.4x with IMG Burn, or do i need the specific 2.4x type?

those will work fine. the 8x is just the max speed it will burn at. and you can find verbs for a lot less than that. try newegg.com tigerdirect.com, sams club (if your a member, or i think you can still get a free one day trial pass). you can get a 50 pack for 60 bucks at sams.

the higher the speed typically means the more you pay. pick up 2.4's if you dont mind waiting.
