sorry for the total newb question, but i am slightly confused about the connection of the 360 to the sata card.
i have bought the pro connectivity kit, and probe, and a power supply in addition to the sata via card.
all of the tutorials that i have seen show the sata cable running out of the side of everyones opened pc case (obviously from the sata card).
my question is why can't the port at the back of the sata card do the job?
i really don't want to leave my pc open all the time for this.
another question, if this is the only way to do it, can i just leave the cable attached to sata card and close the case up when not in use, or must the cable be removed when not in use?
oh jebus, i am slowly starting to regret my descent into this madness.
this is SOOOOO much harder than the twilight hack for the wii, or even chipping that thing.

thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!!!
Don't worry. You can do it. Most of the time the connection on the back of the card (the one connection outside of the PC) is E-SATA. If yours isn't, then go ahead and use it. You can leave the SATA cable connected at all times.
