Lite On hanging on Write

I had all good flash properties but its hanging on writing bank 0 just gets to 1 dot and then stops.


I dont want to turn off the computer, anyone know what the problem could be and a way around it?

You need to disconnect the drive and try a different SATA port. What type of SATA chipset are you using?

Try disconnecting the drive and then switching it to a different SATA port. Load up JF again and select the new corresponding I/O port. Resend the Lite-ON erase, power cycle when prompted, and then try writing the firmware.

Now JF doesnt recognize any drive on any port.

It won't because there is no firmware on the drive. You will need to select the I/O port that you have your drive connected to.

Example: I know the front SATA port on my SATA card is EC00 and the back one is BC00.

You will need to select the other one you moved the Lite-ON to, re-send the Lite-ON erase, power cycle when prompted, and write the firmware.
