I have been using Imgburn for over a year with great success...until recently.

90 Percent of my burns have read errors.
I am using DVD Shrink and DVD Fab.
I have been using Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB, Branded, 20-Pack disc's from Rima and have rarely had problems with these disc's.

I don't know if I got a bad batch or what but the problem started halfway through a 20 pack.
My computer was recently reformatted and fresh install of everything, but the problem was apparent before the reformat.
I have recently switched burning over to Nero.
Looking for advice for good burns

PS I don't expect every burn to work but 90 percent bad is no good.

I've seen 25% bad in a spindle of Taiyo Yuden.

Have you tried with verify ON and turn off AnyDVD (if you're running it?

No I don't have Any DVD and I always have the Verify on in imgburn, that's what is catching the read errors.

Are you actually experiencing any playback problems such as skipping. pixelation, or your player just not reading? If not, where is the issue? Its nothing but numbers otherwise. ImgBurn is an awesome burning software, but even at that, I put little faith in the verifying portion of it or any other like program. Especially, when verifying its own burn. If you must see numbers, try running it through Nero CR/DVD Speed and check it. Just my 2cents.

When I run the verify in imgburn I get a ton of read errors so I keep hitting try again but sometimes it takes forever, I never had these read errors before...well maybe a few but nothing like this.
I haven't physically watched the movies that had read errors I just assumed they were bad.
And can you explain the procedures in checking it in Nero, I seen this under tools, but how do i do it.

Thanks, you guys are awesome

BTW, I NEVER verify in imgburn. IMHO, it's a waste of time and easier to check by just playing the burn.
