Jungleflasher stops responding when i click read

So, i had a previous thread about how i had my samsung ms25 hooked up to my A8n-sli nforce 4 motherboard and it was locking up my computer. the advice i got there was to get a SATA card so i got this card [url=http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm][/url] which is a VIA VT6421A IDE & SATA RAID PCI Controller Card. At first any time i had the ms25 connected to it my keyboard and mouse would stop responding. i installed to driver off of the disk that came with through the found new hardware wizard and it didn't really do anything so i got a driver from that website and installed it. now jungle flasher can see the drive and put it into vendor mode (i have a stock drive by the way) but when i click "read" for it to read the firmware the mouse pointer turns to an hourglass and nothing happens. if i click on jungleflasher it says not responding. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but still the same results. any guesses?

You want to leave the driver un-installed:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

yeah, i noticed that shortly after posting this and i got rid of it but it still does the same thing.
