Hi, first of all are u supposed to just chose the dvd file for burning when burning, that little file for your disk and not the ".iso"??. Second when u make that txt file and then change its name to "whatever.dvd" is it meant to stay as a text file, or should it convert into a ".dvd" file or somethin?

Thank u for ur help

The .dvd tells whatever program you're using to burn the .iso and set the really important layer break. abgx automatically makes these so you don't need to make a .txt file and if you want to type it yourself just copy one of the other .dvd files and edit it.

Consoles:

XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C

PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd

PS3 60gb model

PS3 modded on 3.55

The contents of the .dvd file are always the same: -

Quote:
LayerBreak=1913760
nameofiso.iso

Obviously you substitute "nameofiso.iso" for the real ISO name. You can create the file in Notepad and then change the extension to .dvd. You don't have to use a .dvd file. You can set the layer break manually in ImgBurn by going to Tools - Settings - Write (tab) and then setting the layer break option to "User Specified" and entering 1913760 in the "Sectors in L0:" box.

The sensible thing to do is just use abgx360 as mentioned above, as that will create a .dvd file if one doesn't exist, fix the .dvd file if the contents of it are incorrect, and of course it checks the stealth files etc. etc. so you should be using it anyway.
