Problem with Lite-On Flash

I just flashed a lite-on drive and it seemed to work fine, so i put my xbox back together and now realized that when it reads the game fine, then freezes usually sometime before the main menu of games or during the main menu. After this happens, any disc i put in gives me the "open tray" message when i try to load them.

Any ideas as to whats wrong?? Could it be a bad key or is that not possible because it is at least reading the games somewhat?

If you were able to boot up the game, the key is good. What type of DL discs are you using?

verbatim i know its not the discs because all the games i am trying work on my flashed xbox, its my friends that i flashed thats having the problem, it just freezes randomly before you can actually "play" any game

Since the key is good, could be POT calibration time.
