Hello, anyways I've been a member for a couple months and have gotten flashing down pretty simple, at least for Benqs and Samsungs, myself and 2 of my friends at the most part. So now I want to help out the rest of my friends with lite-ons and I've read and searched up tutorials that say I need something called a Xecuter Connectivity Kit 3 and their probe. My question is I'm not sure which version to purchase the lite or the pro and I couldn't really find pictures of how you connect the CK3 up with your lite-on drive and your computer via sata or anything also connecting it up with the probe, though I do have a general idea how to use the probe, just open it up the DVD drive and stick it in a specific hole to extract the key. Since all of this is sort of confusing, could anyone assist me? Thanks.
I use a KeyGrabber Pro, which almost parallels THIS in design. Since you've flashed BenQs & Sammies you already know what you're doing. You simply need to insert the probe into the R707 hole, when trying to retrieve the key. Use Jungle Flasher's or leerage's tutorial, it's in his sig.
if you're doing lite-ons from scratch you need the pro kit as it comes with the probe and you need the probe to dump the fw, if you are upgrading the fw of a flashed lite-on then you can get away with the lite version. i've got the ck3 pro and it works a treat with jf or the software developed by xecutor.
