Is there any way of testing if a drive has been successfully flashed and plays backups without using a backup or any burnt game?

If you mean is there anywhere that tells you what firmware you have then just plug your drive into your pc via sata cable and open up jungle flasher, it will tell you what firmware is on drive!

Dump the firmware that is now on the drive to somewhere you can find it and then load source, it will tell you what you have on the drive!!

i loaded it and it says firware type dvdkey32 extract

it should say something like this without the spoofed part!


This is because i bought another motherboard and had to spoof my hitachi to think it was a samsung drive!!
Under firmware type is where it will tell you what your firmware is!
