I've just got my xbox 360 flashed and want to try backing up my games and wondering how to do it. Iv'e read about kreon drives and custom firmware and sata to usb leads and wondered if anyone had a way to do it or a tutorial, that's relativley easy to follow. Thanks in advance.

Simple, buy a kreon drive from kreonxtreme for £20.00, they also give you the program needed for ripping your originals or you can use a program called schtrom v4 thats the one i use!!
Or there are a number of drives out there that you can flash the kreon firmware to yourself, a little bit cheaper but not much so i would go with buying straight from kreonxtreme!!

Thanks for the reply m8, what kreon drive is the best to buy and will the drive have all the software allready installed on it to start backing up games and is ebay the best place to buy the sata to Usb leads.

Are you using a pc or a laptop? I have the SH-D162D and not had a single problem with it, it comes already flashed with kreon firmware and kreonxtreme send you an email to a site where you download the ripping program, but i dont use that, i use schtrom its just as simple as pressing extract and thats it!!

I find it cheaper just to buy a benq to replace whatever crappy drive is already in my xbox and use the original drive as a 0800 and get a molex power adapter and my CK3.
I usually just get crappy lite-on drives from my friends.
But since your not an avid modder just buy a regular kreon drive.

I think Kreonxtreme do an external one anyway mate, think its a bit more expensive though!!

Yeah, enclosure is the way to go. You can find these things on newegg for really cheap, along with free shipping on many of them.
