Light-on Flashing Problem

OK people, I have an issue here with the light-on drives. I have been doing this for over 2 years now and I am far from a rookie. For some reason I kepp getting a Serial Data is Bad error. I am using a usb cable. Disk drive half open even the probe light turns green. This started happing about 2 months ago. Thought it might be my probe, so I bought a new one, still no go. Any thoughts?

did you open drive and join the R points???

not sure if jungleflash works well with usb

id personally use a serial port max232 it works everytime with me and cheap to make or ebay it.
