Hi,

I have modded (Argon chiped) wii, I can play copied game on my wii (only NTSC games).

Now I'd like to do softmod on my current wii to unlock my wii. Is it possible for me to do on already chipped or modded wii? Will it change my chipped wii setting? I have 4.1U on my wii. I have copied all the files on my SD card but before installing I'd like to make sure that it won't ruin my wii.

Quick response will highly appreciated.

Yes it is fine to have both Hardmod and Softmod on your system.

I would recommend using the 4.1 Firmware Softmod Guide located in my sig.

I did it with the original wiikey, and I was just able to do the soft unlock. So go for it.

I have installed HBC, DVD option from the 4.1 SOft mod pack. I did not complete full mod. I can able to see Browser and able to download few games and play but I can't able to play DVD movie from wii. If I copy my video or audio file on my sd root directory then I can able to play but I am not getting screen with Play, FF etc.. buttons. I tried to copy Mplayer CE from HBC browser but no luck.
