The ban hammer has hit me Friday. Well seeing as to how this is my "test box", I guess it's only a ban mallet, but it still hurts. My three regular boxes are still OK. The test box is the one that had some early releases played on it. The others have always waited until the release dates and ABGX verifications, so I guess the theory of banning is pretty accurate.

Sorry to hear. Thank you for sharing your info though.
Now when you say this was a "Test XBOX 360", did you play games early online or did you play offline and then connect to Live at a later point in time?

dont mind me asking, but like what early games, if you remember. Also im taking this was a recent banning? I thought i understood it as they only banned in waves....
dunno, but sucks to that.

I think only GTA4 and Gears2 were the only games played early, I'd have to say it was the latter. haven't had it connected to live for about 4-5 months. Put it on Live Friday, and BAM!!! Hammertime. (I guess the COULD touch this).

If a lot of others got banned over the weekend, then yes, it's done in waves. But I haven't seen on other sites people being banned recently, so, no, I don't think it's onlyin waves.

Appreciated, but no need sor the sympathy. Like I said, this is my "test box". I use it to make sure my burns are not coasters. I got the box red-ringed, for $30, sent it to MS, they repaired it & sent it back, I flashed it (BenQ), and since the case was all jacked up (2 cigarette burns & magic marker markings) when I got it, I just use it for testing discs and spoofing.

Major Nelson posted on twitter that he knew people played ODST early and that the ban hammer was coming. I foresee a lot of people bitching about it pretty soon.

Serves them right. At least eebeejay isn't complaining (helps when you have a couple more boxes), but i'm sure someone will get mad, even though it's their own fault for being dumb enough to play unreleased games on an online system.
just curious, when was the last band wave? Could you have been banned a while ago, and just didn't know until now?

as far as i know it is in waves hes not been on live for a while so could have been banned for a while and not found out till friday.

The last ban wave started around November 10th 2008, which is over a year after Halo 3 was released.

lol, I don't really know if you know what you're talking about. Based off of a z code, you can determine if you are banned or not, and you don't need the whole dashboard.
With that being said, it's interesting. Now that I'm looking at the pic, that is a different z code that was is the normal "banned" code. Normal = Z : 8015 - 190D
Actually, doing a little more research, people with that code are having issues logging into live, but weren't banned. They had later reported that they were able to login.
When you do the test, at the end I believe you can hit Y and it will be a "more info" option.

Anyway, people are already having a fit, don't you guys read the account suspension section on the xbox.com forum? Man, there are some great ones on there dealing with ODST. I really like the people who attempt to talk in French like it'll fool MS. Its great reading!

I played it early. But I played the allstar US release. If I get banned IDGAF, I'll use it to test games I want and then buy them for PC or PS3 lol.

Really? And what would you suggest as "better proof". I know, I know, maybe I'll just send you the 360 so you can examine it for yourself. The pic was taken today, about 10 minutes before I posted, uninformed doubtful one.

That's what I thought, but I couldn't remember/find the status code number, but it did look a little strange/different. Also I don't remember seeing that "ID" code before.

I assume you are correct, because after I saw the code and assumed it was banned, ah hour or so later, I started playing ODST, and after I started the game, I received a couple of messages from friends on Live and was like WTF. I realized I was signed in. I signed out, ran the network test, failed it, and as of now, cant sign on. I'll check it later today or tomorrow morning.

I can't remember what it said, but it didn't say "banned". It gave suggestions about resetting modem & router. Some other basic network troubleshoots.
