So i softmodded my wii i have the homebrew chanel and the backup launcher. now ive been watching tutorials on how to burn games onto dvd-r`s ive followed the steps literally step by step by step...and when i start the game it just leaves me a blank screen.

Just so you guys no ill tell you the steps ive done

i used imgburn and ive tried burning numerous times on different speeds no higher then 4x ive done 3 and even 2.4
ive used differnt types of dvdr`s 4x ones and ones that are 1-16x

ive burned iso regular and also iso that are partition`d

hey, i know you read a lot of forums that say to used dvd-r and they are probably right... but not every single wii is made exactly the same. I use sony DVD+R and that's all i use. For me, they work flawlessly. You may want to give those a try. I know it seems expensive at first but trust me once you find the rigt discs to use its totally worth it.

Use DVD-R media. Yes some can use DVD+R but 99% of media issues is either cheap media or they use DVD+R media instead of DVD-R. Most systems will have issues reading DVD+R media all should read DVD-R media (never heard of a Wii that couldn't).

Do any other games work?

What backup launcher are you using?

Did you brick block the game disc or use any application that blocks game disc updates? If so then you might not have an IOS installed that the game needs to work. If the game disc is brick blocked or you use an application that blocks game disc updates and you need an IOS installed then you will not be prompt for the update. In this case the game will give you a black screen only because it can not run without that IOS and it can not install the IOS because the update has been blocked.

I would recommend going to the Update to 4.1 firmware with already softmoded system in my guide and follow the DOP-IOS section. If you have any IOS not installed, following that section should install the missing IOS that is used for that game.

After you follow that section try the game again.

If your not using NeoGamma R7 to launch your backups then I would also recommend installing that and load your backups with it (NeoGamma R7 is also included in the update guide).
