Hi basically when I open jungleflasher it says no comports were found, ive been told to ignore this as its for Lite Ons but when I look for my drive in the ports list its not there, anyone know how to get it to appear? Im using Windows Vista 32-bit and heres everything ive done so far:
bought a VIA VT6421 and installed it to my PC, then I went and followed a guide to remove the drivers to stop an error occuring so when I look at it in my hardware section its there but its got an explaination mark beside it.
Connected the Sata cables from my PC to the xbox 360
Installed PortI/O and the frameworks required
Got jungleflasher and the firmware in the firmware folder.
Turned on xbox 360
Opened jungleflasher to see the error
When I look on the port like the 4 VIA VT6421 ports are there but they all say no drives found
Anyone see something im doing wrong?

Sorry couldnt find an edit button, I just tried doing it with the drive half open and it still didnt find the drive.
Also when installing the VIA card I plug it into a PCI port then plug the sata cable that came with it into the card and then into the motherboard right?
Then I connect a 2nd sata cable into the free port on the back of the VIA and connect that to my 360? (thats what I did, is that correct?)

ok i take it you've read the tut either from the JF site or Leerage's? both are really well written but my fave is Leerage as he explains it in laymans terms. if you need it then leerages tut is in his sig.
have you got it in vendor mode yet? a couple of my drives needed me to reboot the pc before the drive would register. now i got myself a CK3 pro things couldn't be simpler.

no you only need 1 sata cable from the pci card to the DVD drive.... wow your set up must look like the spaghetti junction :)

make sure you plug the drive into sata port 1. it should be the one closest to the front of your PC.

should only take around 5 seconds or so. i hope you saved your FW when you dumped it, other wise you are screwed. you can try sending the outro, putting it back in vendor mode and attempting the write again. if that doesnt work, then you're going to have to use dosflash.

Okay I tried the outro thing and it said this:
Sending Vendor Outro to port 0xC800
So I assumed it was done and click and unlocked it to BenQ again.
I then clicked Read and now its sitting at
Reading Bank 0: ................
Reading Bank 1: ................
Reading Bank 2: ................
Reading Bank 3: ................
and nothing is happening, what should I do?

if you already have dumped the FW theres no need to read it again. just make sure you have your source and your destination FW correct (the page that JF takes you to when you click yes on autoload). then just proceed on writing the FW again.
