Open tray problem few days after flashing

hi

i have the open tray error.
a few days ago i flashed my lite on drive and now it says open tray.
is my drive dead or is there a solution.

I have seen this a couple of times with the Lite-ON drives. Open up the Lite-ON drive and verify your laser is moving. Don't look into the laser directly but verify it is lighting up also. Only solution I've found is to replace the laser.

Also, ever since this issue started happening after IX 1.5 was released, I always disconnect the ribbon cable from the PCB board to the laser before I flash.

so does that mean my laser is broken and i have to buy a new drive or is it possible to fix it myself

Yes it is possible to fix yourself. You don't have to buy a new drive. Double check the other things I mentioned.
