Hey guys,

I have a very strange issue with my (1.6) flashed 83850c. It's a brand new elite that I flashed a couple of weeks ago. Everything went well with the flash and backups work properly - except that whenever I insert a real, original 360 game, it says "Play DVD". I can then eject the drive and then close it again, and it then proceeds to read the game.

When I pop in a backup, it reads it right away, no matter what. This is only with original games, which is why I can't get my head around it. No matter what though, if I eject the drive when I get the message and then close it again, the game will load. This is always the case, so I'm assuming there's no problem with laser calibration or anything like that.

I flashed the drive as soon as I bought the 360 and the first game I loaded was a backup, just to verify if the flash went well. Could this be the error?

Any help would be appreciated. It's not a big deal since all games eventually play, but if I can't resolve it, I might exchange my 360 before the window is up.
