Okay, so I got my allstar copy of Halo 3 ODST. Everytime I try to play the game, my console makes a weird noise and freezes shortly after getting to the menu screen. It then turns on with green lights, displays no video or audio, and then after about 3-5 mins it goes to 3 RROD error code 0023.
I let my xbox sit for 10 minutes, and it turns on fine again. I put in nhl 10, which is also a backup, and it plays fine. I've had it on for about 20 minutes playing, and no RROD.
When I ran Halo 3 ODST through ABGX it required the VIDEO0E58FBD9 iso to be patched. I dl'd the file, and patched it (running on mac so it was a little difficult).
My questions is, could it be that the video file was corrupt? How can my 360 play other games with no RROD issues, and only ODST give me the rrod? I've never gotten it before yesterday when I tried to play ODST.
just wanted to update that I haven't put the ODST disc in and have been playing just about every game out of my library and have not had a single issue. I definitely think it has something to do with me patching the game with that video file.
The Allstars version of ODST only required the DMI files to be autofixed on both discs. I would download it again from a different source if I was you, because there should have been no need to patch in the wave 3 video file (disc 1 is wave 3, disc 2 is wave 2).
