i just installed windows 7 on my computer. i had been using Xbox Backup Creator but apperently windows 7 doesnt support it get a error " component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. I tired fixing that error and im feeling pretty sure its because its windows 7.
now before you say check sticky...i did. one link their and clone cd didnt rip the game. sits there at 2% and never moves. followed it step by step just doesnt happen. And yes i have the right drive to rip games been doing it pre windows 7 for some time. is there anything else to try that will makes this SOMEWHAT easy to rip with my drive.
looked into wxripper and i really dont want to tear apart xbox every time i want to burn...why i bought the drive to do that.
I dont care if you care about my spelling and or grammar. I also dont care if you dont care that i dont care that you care about my spelling and or grammar.

Just download the MSCOMCTL.OCX file from HERE and put it in C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder. That will get XBC 2.9 working.
Edit- You are correct that you don't want to do wxripper. The worse method to rip games.

I just don't understand why it isn't working for you. All I had to do was download the MTCOMCTL.OCX and put it into the C:\WINDOWS\Sytem32 folder and it worked.

You could be missing files that many others already have from other apps. As this is mostly about activex. Try this http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/libraryfiles.exe it is what I used. Most can just copy the one file and have the others already, some may not. This will install all files needed from what I understand of it.
