About a month ago I decided to turn on my psp and go to "gen recovery menu" I went to configuration to see what was in there; I saw the setting "use slim colors on classic PSP" I decided to enable to see what it would look like... so I reset my psp. When it turned back on it looked exactly the same nothing different. After that I decided to play a game, 20 minutes into the game my psp shut off; at first I though I turned it off accidentally so I turned it back on... this time it turned off immediately it only stayed on for a few seconds. I turned it on a few more times and kept shutting off.
I stopped playing it for about a week to give it a rest and see if it would work again... When I turned it back on it stayed on for about 15 minutes and then shut off and then it started shutting of quickly again.
Does anybody know how I can fix this or atleast know what happened?
My homemade pandora battery doesn't work anymore (I barely got it to work in the first place) so I can't use that to help me... is there another way?
I have CFW 5.50 GEN-A

Have you tried
1.Taking out the battery plug it into the charger
2.Taking out the memory stick or
3.Doing both 1&2
Hope this helps!

Why don't you simply go to recovery menue and disable what you enabled first?
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

u can buy a mod-chip for your PSP. mod-chips will fix a bricked psp and you will be able to play ISO/CSOs and homebrew.

There is no longer a mod chip for the PSP - this was over 4 years ago.
Custom firmware does everything you mentioned, not a mod chip.
Buy a new pandora - they are less than $10, if this does not work then it must be a hardware fault with the PSP not to do with you setting

This may require professional help. Take it to a Sony service shop and tell them your problem. I am sure something is wrong with the hardware.

NO!
they can not take away your PSP. Installing CFW and backuping up games is perfectly legal. Downloading them from P2P NETWORKS FOR FREE
is ilegal. But, since you have already bought a pandora battery, google this topic:
"how to fix a bricked PSP using a pandora battery".There should be many tutorials. If that doesnt work, I just know it is a hardware problem.

Thanks! Now I'm on 5.00 m33 again.
my PSP wouldn't even turn on anymore until I did this... but now its still turning off during a game. It has to be a hardware issue because the pandora battery wouldn't even help it fully.
Thanks for the help anyways!
