i sent those on guys check your inbox. for anyone using divx the new update i think its divx 7.2 has issues with vista, you may find it connects very slow and loading a movie may take forever(if it loads at all).having checked around the internet it seems that if you have a problem you will need to go back to an older version of divx perhaps divx 6.8 and it should work ok.

just regarding divx video player problems as i mentioned in my post above, i uninstalled the new updated version and went back to divx 6.5(as it was taking forever to load a movie if it loaded at all)i was reading various posts around the net and it seems to have issues with vista which cause very slow loading etc, and all posts advised going back to an older version divx 6.5. as i said i did this and the movie loaded in minutes. i uninstalled all divx applications and downloaded and installed divx 6.5 and all seems well so far. when installing software you will be told that this is older software and asked to tick a box if you want to install the latest version,do not tick the box as you will be back on the new software that has problems with vista. here is a link to download an older version of divx, http://www.oldapps.com/divx_player.php mods i hope its ok to post this link,if not please delete it if it is unsuitable.

tooloud i just noticed i forgot to post pm instructions for you as you asked so here they are ,to check your pm inbox or to create a pm(private message)look at the top of your screen you will see downloads , glossary , hardware, below them you will see private messages and next to it compose a private message. private messages is your inbox click on it and it will show you your messages ,and if you want to reply click on reply type your message and click send. compose a private message works much the same ,but you will see a box where you input the topic of the pm and a box where you input the name of the person you want to pm , write your message and click send. you should also get an email in your email inbox to let you know you have a message from some one at afterdawn. so now go to private messages and you should see my pm i sent you with the links.

if any one else wants me to send them a pm with the links just ask or send me a pm. for people interested in finding out how to watch tv /movies and sports on their tv via their laptop please read through the thread for lots of usefull info and instructions on how to get set up. you will see a post of mine above with a link to another very good thread on this forum ,it has more info and even has some very good links posted by other people,and a post by my self on how to view sky tv channels on your laptop.

for anyone getting links from me, i give links that use divx video player. as i said in a previous post that in recent times divx has become troublesome(most likely vista issues)so i am not using divx anymore all tho it will still be in my pc,i am now using VLC video player and it comes with a very good toolbar called hotbar. hotbar gives access to many movie sites with quality near as good as divx and more reliable. i know some people dont like toolbars so its up to the individual what they do. if anyone uses divx on xp or mac i would be interested to know how well it works or if they also have problems. happy christmas to all at afterdawn.
