The "Sound" level... (Why do they call it the "NOISE" Level?)
The Sound level on todays PMP's just plain sucks!
I listen to mine through an amplifier. I play it on my car stero and never use earphones. The sound level is so low in most PMP's that I have to almost max my car stereo out to hear the damn thing.
If they reduce it more then these things will become useless.

Are they not my ears to risk? Am I hurting anyone elses ears?
