Hello

I am using XDVDMulleter 10.2 on a Windows 7 machine.

Every time I have used this program before (Vista) it has worked fine, but now when trying to run it I get a "PFI.bin" invalid error!

I tried with Halo ODST and Qubed.

Any ideas?

Ok, but I have to patch wave3 games to work on my system. I have been following this guide, and it was working for me:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/754046

Will this other program have similar steps?

No. There's a guide on here somewhere and it's straight forward. Get your settings right. Load the file and the rest is automatic.

I do not wish to update the firmware because: I do not have the capability to do it myself and do not want to pay someone else and 2) Most of my backups are not compatible, and I would like to play them without having to go through another couple stacks of blanks.

That being said, I looked through the ABGX tutorials that I could find
(Yes I did search the forums) and didn't see how to make the isos compatible for me. I have to patch the wave 3 games to work on my older xtreme firmware.

Can someone help me?

honestly, you will have to suck it up and update. I mean, think to the future, if any ixtreme gets released past 1.6, you will still need to update then and your games will still be incompatible. SHouldn't you cut your losses and update?

It would fix all your issues as well.

You are not helping me at all, so why are you replying?

I want to know if anyone knows why Mulleter was working fine in Vista but not in Windows 7 in that I get a PFI.bin file is invalid error now.

Any ideas to fix this problem other than updating my firmware (which i cannot do!)

Have you ran the application in compatibility mode, I am positive that most of your issues will be fixed by doing so, right click on the .exe file and go to the compatibility tab, then chose a previous Win version there...

Hope it helps

Oh, I forgot to add that part, and I thank you for reminding me. Yes, I tried running it in Windows XP and Vista compatibility modes. Still no dice.

you already know the one way that would fix all your problems, yet you choose not to do it...

makes sense...

I do not want this to turn into a flame war, but F*** off!

I am looking for someone who might be able to help me with my issue. If you would like to come to the middle of nowhere that I live in and flash my 360, then by all means, come do it. Otherwise, shut up.

And by the way, anyone who tells me to update my firmware, please visit this link first. It explains why I cannot.

Actually, I do (on most days)

I just get really tired of being told to do something over and over again after I have politely explained that I cannot and will not do it. I just wanted help with my original question, not be told that I am doing my whole 360 experience wrong.

So if wanted help with my original post is immature, then I am 3 years old.

Moderators, please close this thread. I am obviously not going to get help.

Thank you.
