Hey I keep getting the Error #002 with my games. (oddly enough, i only get this error when use an .iso that came in multiple files and had to unrar. When I use an .iso that came in one piece (just the .iso), it works fine.)
I'm using the twilight hack and the homebrew channel.
All the solutions I have seen involve using .exe programs, which I can't run (being a mac).
Any idea on how to fix this problem on a mac??
Any help would be apreciated! I'm new at this.

It wouldn't matter if the ISO is rared or not.
More information would be helpful.
Like what type of mod do you have?
If a Hardmod what modchip?
If a softmod then what firmware are you on?
What cIOS are you using?
What backup Loader do you use?
etc. etc. etc.

*also, I tried doing the wii scrubber/generic wii patcher thing, but I was told "search pattern for "error 002" protection not found."
I just find it odd that I've burned games in the past with 100% success, and suddenly I have no success even though I have made no changes to my system.

**oh yeah, and I got my parallels working again, so I have full access to windows now. Ignore the part about using a mac to fix this. I can use either.

I would suggest updating to 4.1 and the softmod.
You can follow the Update to 4.1 firmware with already softmoded system guide in my sug.
This will update your system to 4.1 and update to latest cIOS and Backup Launcher.
This should fix the #002 error.

thanks alot! Those set of instructions were super thorough and easy to follow. I just finished the setup and I'm burning SSX Blur right now to find out if it worked. I ran an old burned game (Guitar Hero Metallica) to see if everything still ran fine, which it did.
I'll post when blur is done to let you know if it helped my with the error 002's. Either way I really apreciate the help!
BTW, is it safe to update the homebrew channel to version 1.0.3? I think I'm running version beta 9.

well im not getting the error 2 messege any more, which is a plus.
Also, when my system menu turns on, it recognizes the game as SSX and even shows the logo in the first channel as if it were an original copy. (It does the same thing when I play my burned Guitar Hero Metallica FYI, which works)
However, when i load Blur with the backup launcher, it goes from the "this is how you attatch your wiimote strap" screen, to a black screen and then my wiimote turns off. I tried forcing ntsc, nothing. I even tried loading the game by clicking on the channel as if it were a store-bought game, but that causes "an error has occured" messege.
I'll try another game tomorrow to see if maybe its just a bad dl/bad burn?

Some games need to be patched to use IOS249 so the backup launcher can play the game. SSX Blur is 1 of those games.
You can find a compatibility list HERE and check each game before burning to see if they are compatible or not or if they need anything special that has to be done before burning.
Do the below steps to get SSX Blur to work.
Download and extract IOS Version Patcher which you can get HERE.
Now drag the SSX Blur image (ISO) to the IOSPatcher.exe file. Type in 249 when it ask what IOS version to patch the game image to.
Now burn and have fun playing.

Oh ok, thanks. That list will come in handy!
I'm definately getting close to having this game work, lol.
Thanks again for all your help.
Unfortunately, when i run ios version patcher on my windows vista ultimate, it errors out a little bit after I type in 249 and press enter. It's one of those big time errors with the "physical memory dump".
The second time I tried running the patcher, it went a little longer before erroring out.
I'm gunna try using an .iso that I haven't used wiijunkies on already, and see if that helps. If not, do u think it's a compatibility issue with vista?
I'm so close!!!

Ugh, I have gone through about 7 discs for this game (SSX)!
I Finally got ios patcher to work, set it to 249.
But I can't seem to get a good burn. I've slowed the process down to 1X, and am using the disc utility program for mac. I'm using Phillips Dvd-Rs. I tried to use liquid cd but keep getting an "unhandled disc image format" error that wont let me burn.
When I get my finished product from disc utility and throw it in the wii, I'm unable to run the homebrew channel. I pick in from the menu, and the screen stays black and the wiimote turns off.
I had to move around and copy the iso a few times, so I'm thinking I may need to start from scratch get a new iso. Unless I'm missing something?
