I got a couple questions on the Wii Twilight Hack.
1. I am on Firmware 3.1u. How can I softmod it with this FW version? I keep seeing tutorials for the 3.2/3.3u firmwares.
2. How safe is the hack? Can I still access the Nintendo Store if I wanted to?
3. Is this hack reversible?

1) Nobody uses the twilight hack anymore. You still can use it if you want, but the newer bannerbomb hack is easier to use.
And the guides you're reading are quite old and out of date. Use this one. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-154/..._korean-797772/
2) You CAN mess up the wii if you do something stupid, but if you're careful and follow the guide then the odds of that happening are very low.
And yes, nintendo store still works fine.

Wow, I did not even know that hack existed. I just got the Wii, never kept up with the hacks. From what I understand, this can be done with a simple SD card and Wifi. Another question, what's the latest Wii system software? If it's higher than 4.1 how can I go ahead and install 4.1 to it?

I second what penguin98 has said.
The guide he linked to has you update to 4.1 firmware and will show you how to install latest cIOS and backup Launcher.

It is how you exploit the system to install everything else.
You did update to 4.1 right? Then follow the guide as is.

I did but I'm stuck at:

I don't see an IOS249.

Ok. I got it working. Also got a backup copy of Mario Kart working. Now is there tutorial out there that will allow me to use a USB flash drive or hard drive to run games? Also how do I go about and install stuff like Emulators to the Wii channel page so I can see it as soon as I turn it on.

If you're not willing to help please don't post. I have done some research and have found so many different tutorials with different serial numbers and version types and what not. That's why I'm asking here.

If I am not willing to help?
You wouldn't have gotten as far if it wasn't for me creating the guide you used that softmoded your system.
Your serial # has nothing to do with using a USB Loaders or Emulators. You would know this if you did some research and stopped being lazy.
With a selfish attitude like that I doubt anyone will help you anymore.

How the f*** am I selfish? I did the research on my part and never undersood what was going on which is why I asked here. I still don't know what the hell I am supposed to do. In the time you took to call me lazy you could have linked me to a place that would have helped me out. I've had a Wii for 2 days and I've gotten as far as to hacking it. I thank you for helping me out larrylje but if this is the attitude you're gonna give me now then I've just lost all respect for you. I hope a mod sees this.

I could care less if you respect me or not. As to a link why should I have to give you links when you could do a simple Google search for it. As well there are a few links to USB loader guides in the Softmod guide you used to softmod your system. Again if you read and payed attention you probably could have already started using a USB loader.

You're a real hard head. Shove your pride up there and help someone who has no idea what he's doing and worked his ass off to get a Wii for his little brother and is trying to do everything right without bricking it. I can link you to threads where I've helped out someone even though a simple Google search would reveal the answer. Search engines vs someone who's actually done it is different. You don't get confused with the multiple different tutorials on how to do 1 thing. This thread just showed me how stubborn some people can really be. I've searched and not found a straight forward answer. If you wanna help me go ahead and do it. If not go to hell, I'll find help on another forum where people actually help.

Instead of having a pity party why not look in the Ultimate Sticky Thread. As well Google would work if you learned how to search properly.
