Hi everyone, I recently purchesed a wireless router/modem so I can access the safe softmod upgrade by the famous Larry. When I successfully finished this, with no problems.(well so I thought) I went to access the wii shop channel, but when I did, after pressing start the main menu stsrts again. I'e searched hi and low and tried a few things to get it to work, but no luck. Iv'e tried updating the channel and installing ios51-no luck. All installed ok ,but no change. All my other channels work fine eg: weather, news,usb loader, etc. Can anyone help me work out what I can do.

Did you run the IOS60Patched.wad file?
If you did try running it again.

OK just tried that and still no good. I even used the any title deleter to see if it was on my nand, and yep there it was, So what else do you think I might be able to try? Larry your the man, if anyone has an answer to this it would be you. I also done a connection test which was successful, but it also said that I need to do a system update (support code 61212) what is the support code mean? And I'm pretty sure the system update would be a no,no. Am I right? Thanks.
I have noticed there is a ios61 that is claiming to make it work, but I can't seem to download it from anywhere.

It seems that sometime yeasterday Nintendo put out a 4.2 firmware update. That could be the reason your not able to get into the shop channel. I would wait before doing anything else till some testing gets done on 4,2 firmware and make sure hombrew will still work.

Midnight last night I was using http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii_Shop_IOS60-61_and_Mii_installer All worked ok for the wii shop now,....but now usb loader gx won't work and neither wil my back up channel v0.3 It worked fine yesterday,now im getting dvd error 349. And a waiting for slow usb drive countdown, then ot counts all the way down as if there is no drive!!! Bugger. Just when I thught it was all sorted out.

did you update your firmware to 4.2? if you did then say bye bye to homebrew.

No still on 4.1E but maybe the update for the shop channel was from 4.2 I tried to delete the ios61 from the nand wth any title deleter,yes it deleted it but no change. My homebrew and apps are all still functioning.

I give up on the wii shop channel, never needed it before and sure I won't need it in future. What iv'e done is used larry's 4.1 softmod guide and just started again, now my usb loader gx works again, and my backups play without any troubles. Thanks for all your help. Can't even be bothered or even care if shop channel works, as long as I can play my games.
What Iv'e done is moved my shop cannel to the end of the line by holding the A + B buttons at the same time. Neat as trick.
