I've bought a second had xbox from ebay, and want to flash it, problem is when I bought it the drive was faulty and wouldn't open, so I bought another one which I could use for spares and repairs, and replaced that drive (Hitachi) with the one from out of the second xbox I bought (BenQ), and to just make sure all was ok, I tried the xbox and it works fine, but will only play DVD's.
I have read up on how to flash my drive and understand it, but I don't understand the ORIG.bin, I know i'm probably being thick, but frm the stage I am at now with the xbox only playing DVD's, could someone please help me flash the drive.
Each 360 drive has a key which is unique to that specific console.You will need to extract the key from the Hitachi drive and spoof it onto the Benq drive in order for it to work in the console.
Download Jungle flasher 1.66 from xbins and you will find all the tools you need in there, plus there is a great tutorial included in the application.Hope this helps.Let me know how you get on.
