I just got the Halo ODST Allstars version and have it as a Rar File on my Computer.. both discs.

Their is a password on the rar file wanting me to go to:

Not sure if allowed to post URLS but DO NOT sign up for anything on the below site I only put the URL there in case somebody recognizes the same thing and can help out

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING ON THE BELOW WEBSITE
*link removed*

They want me to fill out a survey to get it which is garbage.. phishing scams / credit card info / etc... I'm not giving them my cell number or any other information.

Figured that a few others would have got the same rar files and wanted to see if anybody knew the password or do I need to delete this and download it all over again.. 14 GBS of bandwidth da**it lol.

I get this:

Password Section

To watch movies on our website you have to take a 30 seconds survey. After you complete the survey you will unlock this page !

IQ Challenge App
My Luv Crush!
Do You Have a Dirty Mind?
Want to Play FreeLotto?

And I have to click on the links.. it doesn't say the password anywhere...

What is it? :P

Interesting that when I load it in Internet Explorer (Using FIREFOX before) then I can for a split second see a hidden page with passwords...

Print screened it and can see them but not down at the bottom where the password for this one must be...

Which browser are you using? Thanks

Or if you can see the password.. so far I tried "icon" and "gamer"

It's either "halo" or "xbox".

EDIT - I'm using Opera 10. All I get is a page listing passwords for various files with some comments underneath.

Tried "halo" and seems to have worked.

Is that the password you see?

Thanks... didn't think of trying a different browser until you mentioned you could see it!

Yeah its Halo...

What browser did you use just for future reference...

Weird.... had to have the control a and c combo ready to post in a text file to get it hah.

Edit - I see Opera... must not function properly with Opera... to your benefit hah. Firefox doesn't work and IE gives you a millisecond glance.

Thanks... Un Raring the file now....

Mod can delete the thread or leave for somebody elses reference!

Here's all the passwords in a text file: -

http://rapidshare.com/files/286303348/passwords.txt

I hate those sort of sites. Shame they're too dumb to write a script that works on every browser. :D

It's kinda funny that they chose the most obvious passwords possible too. lol. Did you guess it before reading my reply?

EDIT - I just checked it out in IE and I see what you mean, although if you view the source code of the page, all the passwords are listed there too. Haha. n00bs.

I just started refreshing the page and pushing print screen on the brief flash of the passwords and then control a / c to copy it when the print screen didn't show what I needed. Once I saw the easy passwords I just assumed it would be odst / gamer / xbox or halo... guess I should have tried it first... although I should have also checked the source.

Hah... Finally though.. I didn't want to use the 14 extra gbs of bandwidth for a redownload.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure there are other people searching for the same thing so this may help out.

Actually I did get it off newsgroups... it was a.b.g.xbox360

I used binsearch.info to browse around.. this is the first month I've used newsgroups.. always used torrents / rshare etc... but decided to take the few minutes to learn it... I'm very computer literate I just never needed to use them before..

Now I try searching just for posts with NFO's etc... binsearch supposedly the best search... or I'm missing out.

I just got it like normal... but then RAR FAILED and it asks a password... The link goes to http://vid1.us/2009/09/passwords-25-9-09/ which opens AGAIN something with survey's...
And if I do a quick printscreen on IE, they only give old passwords... :-s

I try to avoid those password RAR files, but I never know which one is protected and which one isn't...

get the nzb from nzbsrus

Go to the site, search for it. You'll get the nzb.

Once you download, then just extract it. No password needed.

Hi, If you go on the page that asks you to fill a survey in and right click in a blank area of the window and select view source you can see a list of all the passwords.

many rar files uploaded on alt.binaries.multimedia are now password enabled. this is very annoying. Any way to crack these files? I had once found a method to use a hex editor to read the file and to quickly locate the password but have lost the instructions. any ideas?
