Samsung ixtreme 1.6... Cant read original games, can read backups?

Hi there, I had managed to "i guess" successfully flash my samsung ms28 drive and my xbox didn't go crazy when i powered it back on in the xbox. But the funny thing is, it cant read my original games, but it can read backups! I used a CK3 on iprep 101 to do this...
I SWEAR this is NOT on any other forum XD, if anyone has had the same problem OR has a fix, would be grateful!

honestly, I can't see how this is possible.
It would either be able to play both, or neither, but not backups only.
Can you try dumping the firmware and opening it with jungleflasher?
Better yet, also reflash it with jf.
And I assumed you flashed it with 1.6 as well correct?

that is umm......strange to say the least. cant say i've ever seen this before. not sure why it would do this. what error does it give you when trying to read original games?

had same thing happen to me,i found that when i connected the harddrive to the 360 then put in the original it worked.

i think in order to dump drives (samsung, benq) that have been flashed with anything higher than 1.4 you need to use the activate.iso method.

Hiya, thanks for your reply witht his method and i tryed it and it completely sounds like its eating up the disk up from the inside... After a while it it just says "Open Tray" just giving up... The noise continues... Thanks anyway, i don't think i can fix this BUT it's pretty cool i'm the only one ;)

Correction of english:
reply with this* method
completely sounds like it's eating up the disc*
by "Open Tray", it doesn't recognise the disc basically
The console keeps trying to read the disc (which is why the noise continues)
and I never said thanks lol XD

i think your dvd drive is dying,my flashed samsung would play backups no problem,but original games came up as play dvd.but if i put the 360 in its vertical position it sometimes plays original games fine,meaning the flashing was ok

Yeah that happens to me aswell VERY rarely though, do you understand why though? Anyway thanks for all your help... obviously no solution to this??
