Hi!
After updating to 4.2U I am now not able to run my Pal backups on WIIKEY.
Can't find any info on it.
Any suggestion?

A simple Google search brings up a few hits on Modchip users having issues booting IMPORT games.
It should be common practice to never update your system to a new firmware till more is known on side effects.
This might not be helpful but it is pretty much a waiting game. Do some Google searches maybe you will get lucky and find a fix for this issue.

Yes, I've been googling it all last night and today. Can't find any info usefl to me except what I already know.
The update was done by accident.

As I said it is a waiting game. You need to keep searching or hope someone that knows of a fix comes along and answers you. Until then you won't play IMPORTS.
Wish I could help more but I just wanted to let you know that your not the only person having IMPORT issues on 4.2 firmware.

so i just turned on my wii and it said it has an update to the internet channel, but to install it I have to first do a system update.
I take it i should not do this system update. This is the 4.2, I guess?

if you want the internet channel, download wiiscu to update the shop channel. then download the update from the new shop channel. did that on my 4.1 wii with no problems.

you know in real life people who want something from someone atleast offered to buy them a drink and have a good conversation =). But I know about 3 ways to fix your situation. Ive tested and confirm it works. Or you can just ignore me and wait till wankinko updates another patch for your situation.

IMO, payment would be asking for money for doing a job. Asking a friend to buy you a drink over a conversation isnt a payment more like good will. But whatever forum rules are rules.

That is right, I am a dumbass too. I hit hte go ahead and update and now have lost some of my import games. So, I would like to buy your a drink myself my friend and ask you for some assistnace. Can you please be so kind to point me in the right direction so I can get my little girls games back up and running. She cried the entire day today because she could't play Dora. What a nightmare. Thanks in advance.

some help requires 1 on 1 time not constantly checking up on this forum or making posts 25 pages long when certain questions will be brought up again. Everyone has different problems that are unique only to their systems. Im just saying if you want my help 1 on 1 just get me a drink and well talk about it over a friendly conversation and nobody has to take my offer. Dont get me wrong ive helped plenty of people on this forum, however, certain questions become repetitive and a nuisance. Im sure you know what i mean larry, but i dont spend my entire life browsing this place.
Some people want a direct answer and even then they might not know whats going on with their systems or cant get it working by reading what some people post.
