Ok well i have managed to get Hellcats to start using "%__SCE__rflash" and "__SCE__rflash instead of the recovery folder... but...

It comes up with a fatal error trying to upgrade to 500.pbp, have i located this in the wrong folder?

These are the 3 errors:

Error 80010002 loading/starting nand_updater.prx
Error 80010002 loading/starting lfatfs_updater.prx
Error 80010002 loading/starting lflash_fatfmt_updater.prx

What do I have to do differently in order to install 5.00??

Remember I cannot start in recovery mode aswell.

Actually you've done something completely right. It's much easier for me to guide you to CFW from system software 1.50. I'll look up the directions and I'll post back.

Good news! I removed the "recovery" folder and pasted the 500.pbp file into root of memory card, and then hellcats worked perfectly!

I have now upgraded to Gen-B2!!

PSP works perfectly, plays all new UMD games, and even the new games I had on stick (which didnt work before!)

Now what else is there to do on my "new" PSP!!!??

lol, nothing really. I would still be fine with 3.10 OE-A, my first CFW. It's just good because you can play the games. There's some visualizations and PSN is also on the PSP now.
