Alright so hopefully I don't get in trouble for making this thread. I know it's a question being asked a million times a day, but so far I've spent over $60 on trying to reflash my TS-H943 Samsung, read countless guides, and still have no answer.
My VIA card is:
nGear SATA & IDE PCI Controller Card VIA 6421A Chipset 1SATA 1ESATA 2IDE
I bought it from Direct Canada.
I've tried using the latest drivers, none, and CD drivers. When I install any other drivers other than CD my Device Manager says the VIA card is 3249. When I use the CD drivers it says it's a VIA VT6421 Raid Controller
The long and short of it is MTKFlash won't recognize my driver when I'm trying to flash my box. iPrep has no problems.
Before anyone asks, I've tried JungleFlash (and before it started simply freezing my computer [ya ya, uninstall viamraid.sys] it did not detect the drive either). I've also tried DosFlash 16/32 and still the drives aren't detected.
The problem is MTKFlash fails on port 0x0960, which I'm assuming is normal, but after I press Y when the drive isn't detected instead of getting the normal 0x51 I get 0x01. This status comes up when I tried DosFlash as well.
If I leave my Pioneer plugged in MTKFlash will see it, but if I remove all my other SATA connections (2 HDD, 1 DVD drive) MTKFlash will immediately not detect anything and won't even let me resend the information.
This is all the information I can think of right now. If anyone is able to help or has any other questions about my problem I'll try to answer them best I can. Any help is very much appreciated as I just want to play ODST!
