Hey, im doing the X-clamp fix and i am having trouble getting the xbox to overheat for the baker mod. its flashing 3 red lights and i left it on for 12mins no fans and it hasn't overheated, i felt i should turn it off as it was getting really hot and i did not want to cause further damage. it is defiantly heating up, do i need to just leave it on until it turn 2 red lights even tho waiting up 2 15mins and possibly longer?
i am getting the code 0022.
I am not sure what i am doing wrong but, any help will be appreciated
Ya its fine, the xbox automatically shuts off if it gets hot to prevent any damage to itself. So thats what your trying to do, just let it get hot till it comes with 2 red lights, then shut off and let it cool for 15-20 min; and then try it out!
I'm working on two I just bought on ebay, I've got one open and one closed. It seems like neither of them are heating up at all. They aren't making any sound or any thing
did you let it cool and tighten down the gpu? what method are you using? if you havnt done that i would suggest that (even though it didn't oeverheat) if you have, then hell, re-do it, and just let it sit there until it shuts off. even if it takes an hour.
i let it over heat, waiting for it to turn off,it heated up alot however i was touching it after awhile and it cooled down abit does that mean it switched off even tho still flashing 2 red lights?
If you over tighten the screws on the heatsinks they will not heat up at all. You need to loosen them a bit. Also has anyone heard of baking the MOBO in the oven at a low temp to fix the warping ?
