Hi.I've just upgraded my o/s to windows 7 ultimate from vista ultimate and im having trouble getting a benq drive to be recognised in jungleflasher.Its a 32bit o/s if that helps.Any help would be appreciated.

it should work fine as long as it is 32 bit. Even if 64, I believe benqs would still work.

what is happening? any messages?

jungleflasher starts no problem.It just will not recognise any drives at all.Tried different ports on via card and still no joy.

Yeah i installed portio and tried all of my onboard sata ports too.Its a strange one this.

I believe Windows 7 will automatically install a driver for the VIA card. To get your drives detected, remove the driver:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

Ive just checked and portio isnt installed and i cant get it to install.It was installed before i upgraded to windows 7.Should it still be installed?

I did just that and it worked.It was an upgrade i did.All sorted now.Thanks everyone for your help and info.
