So...

I have an MS25; now modded to iXtreme 1.6 to play my backups.

I'm burning Verbatim DL's on a Plextor 740A @2.4x. All games are checked/verified after read in ImgBurn; and scanned prior to burning with ABGX360. Has worked flawlessly for a long time; especially at 8x.

My million dollar question is; this thing grinds like a mofo reading burned games. Can I slow down the read speed to 8x on the MS25 with the iXtreme; or could I do it with iXtreme 1.51? I'd downgrade if it's the only way.

I knew how to using some older software and xTreme 5.x, etc. Can you do it with the newer JungleFlash/iXtreme software?

I know you can't with 1.6, I don't remember if you even can on 1.51, I want to say no.

It really is best to have it at 12x.

If anything, I would look more towards replacing your dvd drive.
