hey everyone!
i just got the 3 red rings of death, so i pulled my Xbox apart. I got these rubber washers and put them under the heat sink so it would get more cooler. Then i put it all back together (except for case) and turned it on. i heard that if i over heat it then leave it you all of a sudden get your green rings back. but in the land of the internet not all unicorns shit skittels. so i turned it on it started up flashed three red rings then the fans stoped almost right after it and it flashed 2 red rings!

Now what the hell am i sposta do now? Could someone please help me?

You only put washers? You should go out and buy some m5 screws, thermal paste, rubbing alcohol and the correct washers (I only used eight washers per heatsink don't know which type.)

Looks like your fans died, that means you will have to solder them onto the board.. or (make sure there correctly inserted)

1.10pcs M5 screws (M5 5x10mm - I think)

2.20pcs Zinc Washers

3.20pcs Nylon Washers

You have to replace the clamps with the screws, drill holes in the metal case, put washers on the screws then some between the motherboard and heatsinks and don't forget to replace the thermal paste after removing with rubbing alcahol(I used turps) This worked for me and i got a free Xbox 360 out of it. :)

Jesus! looks like i got a bit of a job ahead of me but if i dont get it done by wensday then i will take it into the carabien gardens and see what the people from there can do with it. Also on my second 360 i cant play latest game because of my flash not being the latest. but the bloke i know is charging me a whole 100$ on it being fixed, so i just wanted to know is there a program that i can use that will do it for me or do i have to screw around with BIOS?

If it is only some games that don't work on your 2nd 360 then looks like you would need to flash it again or get someone else to do it.

There is a way to patch wave 3 games (latest games) to work on earlier flashed consoles i believe, but then if you play online with the patched games you will get banned.

If you want to flash your own 360 you have lots of reading to do.

i am trying to sreer clear of flashing games because my mate has flashed my xbox360 and all my games are copyied and i still dont get caught so if i flash my games i will so i thinl i'm going to flash my xbox so i can go online.
