Like a widescreen movie. Not all of them but a few such as Dead Space and RE5...

Is there a reason for this? NTSC area.... I think its the region free one but not sure

region incompatibly perhaps?? not sure how that would affect it though as i have some PAL RF games and it doesnt have the bars.

Yeah I have gone through all my TV settings.

Only way to fix is is to "Zoom1". It's a Samsung Plasma 720P but this issue doesn't make sense. I'll have to try on somebody elses Xbox and see how it displays.
