I had the freezing problems when trying to erase in jf using via 6421 and maximus extractor through usb sad.gif
Podger posted a while ago about this but for some reason it dosnt seem to have cought on huh.gif
I installed the VIA_RAID_V530C which can be found here [url=http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/70826][/url] and the problem was sorted biggrin.gif No boot disk or dos or rebooting pc required, you can do the whole thing in 1 go rolleyes.gif

was wondering if this is tru,for some reason i cant seem to use Xflash as i cant find my card/port.
keep getting a disk error on iprep via serial port.
i am skeptical as i havent seen this much from google?(aka e-searches)and dont want to get the freeze AGAIN.

is there a alternative method, i have a security chip and its lock, so i am unable to edit bios for booting dos(setting the port for xflasher proceedure

honestly, your first post didn't seem coherent. I'm guessing you are trying to flash a liteon drive. Did you read leerage's tutorial?

Having the VIA driver installed is what causes the freeze. To remove the driver:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

From there, use Jungle Flasher. Do you have the 83850C Lite-ON or 74850C Lite-ON?

you also have to install portIO32 as well and net framware 3.5

yes i have all those installed.it would be the liteon 74850c.
everytime i disable the drive i cant find the liteon.

leerage's tutorial? about renaming and pasting(the miamraid.sys file)
what would 0x50 mean.thought i would work but it froze again .then unfroze and came back with 0x50
did i power cycle to quick?did it right after i hit yes(literally right after,might of been a little before)
