my mate has all the nazi Zombie maps and he said i can have them for free if there's a way. We both want to play together. Is it possible for him to sign in on my xbox to download the maps onto my xbox? If so will it affect his account in any way?

I believe he can sign in and download them to your xbox, but you will always have to sign into his profile to play them.

So no, you can't have them on your xbox live account because he downloaded them on his. You'll have to pay for it.

Microsoft has obviously though of this scenario.

I don't get the point of the transfer tool anyway, since the content is always linked to your profile you can re-download it to the new xbox when signed into that profile. but you can only use the content on that specific profile. so that wouldn't work anyways unless he used his friends profile, and then his friend wouldn't be able to use it.

There are no ways around M$ on this one for the basic user. you will NEVER get live content for free, unless through one of those sweepstakes.
