im in the process of flashing my benq flowing this tut

i got my card to get the yellow exclaimation mark so im good there
i turn my xbox on then open up jungleflasher
then go to mtk click on benq unlock and it returns an error
any help?
i have the av cables plugged in, i dunno if thats right?
and its not in mode b cause its stock, i dunno if that right either?

Have you installed PortIO? If so, does JF recognize your BenQ (VAD6038)?

i have port i/o installed
not sure if it recongnizes my benq
it says under properties
vendor: plds
name dg 16d2s
f/w/rev 7485
reserved: ocaoa1d608cg82091200
am i trying to flash the wrong drive?
i looked at pictures and compared and mine looks like a benq

You have a Lite-ON, not a BenQ. You are going to need a probe to get the key. You can view the tutorial "Lite-ON" linked in my signature.

its the exact same as the one on the far left
I am positive. The guide you are looking at is old. First, the details you gave me : PLDS DG-16D2S is the model number of the Lite-ON (also the 7485 which is the firmware revision 74850C which you will see in the lower left hand corner on the top of DVD drive's label). Second, the trays are the same, so you need to look at the hole on the front of the drive in the right hand corner.

yeah i had the thing all taken apart and ready to go
now i gotta buy a 35 probe
or try my hand at amateur circutry
might just find someone on ebay to do it for me
its to bad no one in my area puts a modding service on craigslist

im in indiana. if you feel comfortable shipping the drive to me ill flash it. i think one of the other senior members is located in kansas or missouri. not sure if any others are around the mid-west. most of them are either on east coast or down south.
