How do you backup 360 games?
I know this Question has come up a lot but none of the posts have answered my question. I got my 360 this year so I have the bad drive. I use DVD Decrypter and Nero 6. I haven't got my 360 glashed yet until i find out which one is the best. I wan't to backup games like Gears of War, Halo ODST, Forza 3 (when it comes out)ect. I want to backup the games so i can play them whenever i want without the disc just in case there is another form of backing up 360 games. As you can tell I have no understanding of anything to do with this topic.

I read the ISO using DVD Decrypter and it came with this folder that had 3 video files and 2 BUP and IFO files

This wont work as a normal PC DVD drive cannot see the xbox files. You will need to use one of the above methods.
Easiest is Kreon, cheapest is xWripper. Do a bit of research on all of them and decide which one you want to use yourself.

Yes I guess i will have to. But i trust those guys I have got numerous Wii and DS stuff off them I will just send in my Xbox and they will do everything needed.

Search for "Jungle Flash tutorial", leerage (an afterdawn user) has made some easy ones to follow.
And to answer your question ixtreme 1.6 is what you flash on to the drive, jungle flash is the program you use to flash.

You have to open the xbox to detemine what firmware revision it has. On the top left of the label (from memory) on the dvd drive it will have:
74850C = Hardest liteon to flash. requires probe
83850C = Easiest liteon to flash, does not require a probe
93450C = Not able to be flashed (yet)
If the xbox is new (bought after august 09) there is a chance that it is the 93450C, in which case there is no way to flash it as of yet.
Also, I would suggest buying a kreon drive to backup xbox games, it is a lot easier than the wxripper method and is the most reliable way.

Here here to that! Best Investment I have made so far in my short time with 360 modding for sure! so easy to use and only about $40cdn

There is no program that can make perfect 1:1 copies of xbox 360 games (except for the ones microsoft uses).
