thanks, what about if i wanted to rip games? ive heard of kreon? are only some drives compatible? i would like to find something that does both.

sorry wabash man, i know its easier to use google. but i thought i would get some real advice here. . .dont feel like trolling around google. and the reason i asked about the dvd burner that rips and burns games is because someone was trying to sell me one. . .just wanted some opinions. . .and wouldnt it be easier for you to just not post then to say "try google"?

You need a Kreon drive to rip games. No DVD DL drive will do both (rip and burn).

Ha, I know.
I just use whatever I have, literally it doesn't matter as long as it can burn dvd dl.
One that is on my macbook pro. The other is a bluray burner I have for my beast machine.
The specs on it.... top notch.

thank you leerage, guessswho, and wabashman. you three are the class of this website. i found a kreon drive on ebay. and im looking at a toshiba external burner. thanks for all your help.

no problem. i use a samsung burner though, havent had any problems with it really.
