yea why not, we can have a good laugh as everyone else just get lost in piles of threads asking for updates and codes

exactly, i remember the last time it happened it was manic! same questions over and over again....box's have gone down, end off...will they get fixed who knows....but this pint tastes good :-)

i was lucky, the last time it went down i was just about to go on a little trip so i avoided all the stress, when i came back i had the working update all ready for me to apply...good times.

this pint is just what the docter ordered, same again??

boxes are only going down if they havnt got the latest software installed those that have will auto update, people are asking for codes because their boxes are not flashed with the latest software and will not auto update.

its better to want something and not have it,
then to have it and not want it...

hey - i'm sure i wont be the first/last to ask this but i neva got ma head around wen ppl say/advise to upgrade the s/w of the box. i have DB500c and hav been using DK1.1 image. it has been working fine till 5th and has gone down since. Now, I have a key folder in Var directory which has several number of files in there and one of those read as AutoUpdate and i believe its a registry key. Is this mean tht my box shud update automatically or i still need to surf thru the trillions of website to find the right keys? IF there are things tat needs to be done to avoid this hassel everytime in case of a rollback pls list them and i'd be greatful. I had taken the keys from bigmaq toolbar and still dsnt work...
any help welcome !!!

first off....where are you?
if the answer to the above is ireland have you followed the steps here in the recent past? if not, do it.

your problem may well be a local issue in the UK, I would have no way to verify or check things out as I'm in Ireland, you should start again & re-post your questions stating your location & when you last flashed updates/image to your dreambox.
